Blood Pythons are great eaters. They start accepting frozen/thawed rodents when young and continue throughout their entire lives.
Unlike Ball Pythons, Blood Pythons don’t quit eating for months, don’t require dancing around with their food, or only feed on ASF rats that are hard to find. You will rarely see a post online from someone asking for help with a Blood Python that is not eating.
We only feed frozen/thawed rats and mice. We defrost then in a dedicated fridge overnight, head them under a lamp until 90F, put one appropriately sized rodent in each tub, and check about an hour later to see if the snake had eaten. If she hadn’t, we offer again the next week. Blood Pythons are such good eaters that most will eat normally even during shed.

Rodent breeders we recommend
Big Cheese Rodent Factory
We buy our rodents from local breeders and from Big Cheese. If you can, get a dedicated frost-free freezer and buy rodents in bulk.
